Hope

Cubism
Medium:  Graphite on Paper
Inspiration:  The Gift of Salvation from Jesus Christ
I kept seeing this image in my head. I am so thankful for what Jesus did for us on the cross, the sacrifices He made, and the Gift of Grace He gave all of us- as undeserving as we are. It reminds me of the Hope that we all can have for our eternal lives because of God's love for us...

Medium:  Graphite on Paper
Inspiration:  Bob and Allie at a Pumpkin Farm

My first Cubist drawing done at college. I won an Honorable Mention award. I thought that was pretty cool, considering it was only the second art class I took in my life. The class was 2-D design. I had a burst of creativity, and was a bit obsessed- I completed it during one all-nighter. It show's Bob holding Allie at a local pumpkin farm when she was about a year and a half old.

Autumn

Cubism
Medium: Colored Pencil on Paper
Inspiration: Beautiful Lone Maple Tree in a field at a local Christian Campground we visit.

My first attempt at using colored pencils. There is a beautiful, huge lone maple tree in the middle of a field just off the road going into the campground. The tree is so big and majestic. The leaves turn amazing vibrant colors in the fall. I think my favorites are the bright oranges and deep reds. Looking back at it, I see a few things I might have changed a little on the design- but with that being said, I'm pretty happy with it. It was fun experimenting.
